Mr. Michael Gallagher
6th Grade Homeroom / 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade Science
Salutations! My name is Michael Gallagher. I come from a large family, three brothers and four sisters. The people that I admire the most are my parents and my wife, who have taught me perseverance. I graduated from Most Holy Redeemer School in Evergreen Park and Brother Rice High School in Chicago. For college I studied History at Western Illinois University. After teaching for a few years I studied Science Education at National Louis University and earned a Master’s Degree in Education. Recently, I retired from the Chicago Public Schools, where I taught for over twenty-four years. I am grateful to be teaching at Saint Ferdinand and optimistic that we will learn some new and exciting things. In my spare time I love running, reading and spending time with my wife, daughter and two grandsons. My favorite book is The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. Also, I enjoy walking my dogs, Foxy and Diva. Foxy is an English bulldog and Diva is a golden retriever/ collie.
